Worthy of Commitment!

Commitment

What does it mean to be committed?

Here are a few definitions from the oxford dictionary.

1) the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.

"the company's commitment to quality"

2) an engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action.

"with so many business commitments time for recreation was limited"

Are you committed to your work?

Do you go to work everyday or almost and work at the very least the minimal expected of you?

Why? Why do you go to work and give so much of yourself?

Is it because it's your passion and you just love going to work, creating, learning, exploring, understanding and it's energising to go?

Or Does the thought of work make you want to stay in bed under the covers hoping

no-one will notice and you still end up at work?

So much commitment is put into working, into creating a wage so life can be lived more comfortably, more things, a house, car, holidays, all the physical things we want and desire.

Most people spend more time working than doing anything else, so getting to enjoy all these things your spending your money on is actually not that easy and doesn't feel particularly satisfying when all you want to do away from work is sleep.

When do you commit to you?

Are you committed to you?

You say you want to exercise and get fit but everyday you go through the day giving all the reasons of why you can't do it.

Is that commitment to self?

You say that you want to start this amazing new adventure and the thought of it gets you excited, do you do it though?

Are you committed to showing up everyday for yourself as you do for work?

Are you committed to giving yourself the love required to grow and get what you need from life.

Are you committed to treating yourself to as much energy and effort as you give to your job?

Your job may pay your bills and get you all the physical things you are looking for in life but without you your job is nothing. Without you all the physical things mean nothing.

We have been taught to be committed to going to school, to be taught other peoples ideas of what we need to know,

Our relationships, whether they are healthy or not,

Work, whether we like it or not.

where are we in that? where is the commitment to self in any of those things?

Even in the definition of the word it doesn't talk about self commitment

1) the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.

"the company's commitment to quality"

Being dedicated to a cause and activity, can the cause be you? Can the activity be that you take the actions necessary to lift your life up?

Can we say the commitment to your quality of life?

2) an engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action.

"with so many business commitments time for recreation was limited"

Even in this example it is work taking away from life, being committed to something that you don't have time for yourself. In this example also it states an engagement or obligation, they are both temporary things, they do not require to live in this state continuously, as nothing ever does.

If you are living your passion and committed to yourself first, life can only feel good.

How much commitment are you really giving to yourself?

How much more can you give to yourself?

What stops you from giving it to yourself?

You are so worthy of committing to yourself as within you is everything you need.

Committing to yourself is the first step to living your life as you choose to do not in how you have been programmed to.

Any problems that happen at work get resolved, you don't walk out of the job because of a difficulty, don't walk out on yourself.

You are so worth your commitment, give yourself the commitment you deserve and watch how your world changes in front of your eyes in the most magical ways.
